Why I do what I do

I grew up in Alberta spending my quality time on various farms and ranches of family and friends. The everyday life there included professional horses, cattle, pigs, working cattle dogs, working farm dogs and savvy working cats. We had horses and several dogs, including "adopting" a stray King Shepherd.

My Journey to becoming a Pet Photographer began when my cousin needed to rehome his Beloved Keeshond Coedi.  This began many years of love and adventures and the start of vacationing with our beloved dog Coedi. My need to take better photos of our little family led my husband to buy me my first DSLR.

pets are family

THERE'S A SPACE NO ONE ELSE

CAN FILL IN YOUR HEART

Pets are Family and an important part of our lives.  This was the best photo I ever took of our precious girl Tia.  I wanted so badly to get better photos of her but I still cherish all the photos I have of her.  She's another reason I became a Pet Photographer, she was our "heart" dog but in all fairness they all are.  Preserve Precious Memories.

Sports Photography

I started out as an athlete and now I photograph sports

I did take that one token class for Sports Photography

Sports is about timing and I'm largely self taught

I understand the hard work and training that goes into being an athlete.

You need to anticipate the next action of the athlete-it comes with EXPERIENCE

I understand the challenges that athletes face since I competed myself

What Make a Great Sports Photographer?

Being Able to Anticipate during the Competition and Knowing the Sport.
